The Hands On Group head office

In September 2009 the Hands On Group's Commercial Director, Bob Dine, approached Green Mark about gaining recognition for their environmental performance at their head office in Kent.The company were very keen to promote their car washing process which uses minimum water, safe cleaning products and no electricity.
With committment from Hands On CEO, Rick Plowman, the company embarked on Green Mark. After the Initial Appraisal visit Hands On worked quickly to ensure that they complied with all relevant environmental legislation and put in place recycling systems and energy monitoring initiatives.
When Green Mark re-visited the head office for their final audit Hands On successfully achieved their certification and are now fully certified through to November 2009. Hands On are a great example of an organisation that, despite excellent growth, are attempting to monitor their environmental performance and improve it wherever possible within their business model.
