The Copenhagen Summit begins

The Copenhagen Climate Change Conference begins today and here at Green Mark we will be following the day to day news closely and hoping for a progressive, ambitious agreement to be made.

Many of our Green Mark certified organisations have expressed their interest in broader environmental policy and hopefully over the next two weeks politicial leaders will reflect the commitment made by Green Mark certified companies to improving environmental performance.

Although any agreement at Copenhagen is unlikely to effect Green Mark methodology immediately we will consider any of the conclusions and commitments and ensure that complying with Green Mark requirements will ensure complying with Copenhagen Summit targets. Part of Green Mark's service to its certificate holders is to keep fully abreast of local, national and international developments in the environmental sector.
